Nursery opening times and Financial info

Open : Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm.

Closed : Weekends, Bank Holidays, Christmas Week, and Friday of October half term

Ages : Takes children from 3 months to 5 years.

Fees (applicable September 2008) “Discount for full week bookings”

  • Babies (aged under two)
    Full Time - £204 per week
    Part Time - £45.50 per day
    5 hour session - £23 per day.

  • Toddlers (aged 2-3 years)
    Full Time - £194 per week,
    Part Time - £43.50 per day
    5 hour session - £22 per day

  • Pre School (aged 3-5 years)
    Full Time - £184 per week
    Part Time - £40.50 per day
    5 hour session - £21 per day

Fees are payable for 51 weeks per year by monthly standing order.

Full time or part time care offered.

There is a £50 non-returnable deposit payable on confirmation of a place.

There is a late collection policy and parents will be charged £5 for every 10 minutes that they are late collecting their children after 6pm.

We accept nursery vouchers.

We are in receipt of the Nursery Education Grant.


Food Provided

  • Breakfast of milk and cereal.

  • Hot midday meal with a choice of vegetarian or non vegetarian (special diets can be accommodated).

  • Snack Tea and fruit.

  • Milk both morning and afternoon.

  • Babies eat the same food – whatever is suitable is prepared to their requirements e.g. blended.

  • Ready prepared bottles of formula milk need to be supplied by the parent.

Clothing

  • Ideal clothing for the nursery are tracksuits – easy to wash – easy for the children to dress themselves.

  • All clothes worn to the nursery should be marked with the child’s name, a spare set of clothes should be left at nursery in case of accidents.

  • Children being potty trained require plenty of spare pants, socks and trousers.

  • Children wearing nappies require their own nappies, wipes, cotton wool and creams.

Health

  • Minor accidents do happen, as they do at home, bumps, bruises etc. and are treated with first aid by a qualified member of staff, the child comforted, a record made. The parents are informed when collecting their child and asked to sign the accident card.

  • If a more serious accident occurs, requiring a visit to hospital, we will contact the parents and call the emergency services.

  • If your child is taken ill during the day they will be encouraged to rest. You will be contacted and requested to take your child home.

  • Children will not be admitted with infectious diseases e.g. chicken pox until given the all clear by a doctor, and after consultation with the Childcare Management.

  • Staff can administer medicines after completion of a permission form signed by the parent.

Parents

  • There is a main notice board in the reception area and additional notice boards in the children’s rooms which parents are requested to read each week. The board has details of staff, children, special events, fundraising, menu’s, items for sale etc.

  • We offer parent partnership meetings which are carried out with other social events throughout the year. A daily feedback chart is written everyday for parents to take home and parents have access to their child’s progress charts and diaries at all times.

  • Staff are always available if parents wish to speak to them - about their child’s progress, any problems, or just for coffee and a chat.

  • The nursery if fully covered by public liability insurance.
