Another new opportunity to work with young people in church and the community, in Welwyn Garden City. Our Head Office is based in Welwyn Garden City – 30 minutes from Kings Cross, London

Salaries £26,000-£30,000 + Competitive Benefits

Working for YMCA Central Herts in partnership with Christchurch Baptist in Welwyn Garden City, the Youth Pastor will lead an ecumenical team of youth workers and volunteers, developing and managing town-wide church and community based youth provision.

Christchurch is a lively, growing evangelical church in the town centre with a committed team of volunteer youth leaders.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the YMCA team as we embark on significant expansion or our services across central Hertfordshire. We are establishing children’s centres, developing new housing projects and setting up a wide range of youth work programmes. Our plans include some major capital projects from new housing to a world class Youth & Community centre.

You will need to be

• qualified in youth work with a proven track record in work with 11-19’s
• a Christian, passionate about youth discipleship
• able to build effective relationships with a wide range of young people and adults
• a creative leader and competent administrator
• flexible to work during evenings and weekends
